Dr. Allan Chamberlain was an egyptologist who was one of the diggers that found the Book of the Dead.
Story[]
Dr. Chamberlain was first seen at a dock harbor arranging for transport while Beni explains to his American allies how long it takes to Hamunaptra. That night on the boat, Sora and Rick O'Connell meet the doctor and Henderson, Burns and Daniels about the city of the dead. When the Medjai strike at the boat, the doctor is defended by Kairi and Riku. Still with the horses, Beni and his crew would be likely to reach Hamunaptra. Mornings later, Sora and his friends race the Americans led by Beni to Hamunaptra once it appears. At the dig site, they nearly get into the fight until Evy breaks it all up. While under the statue of Anubis, Chamberlain's diggers are burned alive by salt acid. They groups are then attacked again by the Medjai. Having discovered the Book of the Dead, Chamberlain translated that if they open the chest, they are bound by a curse from the undead that will kill them when brought back. When Beni fled, Chamberlain and his other 3 men open the chest, not knowing what will happen to them later. After Evy reads the incantation that brings Imhotep to life, the doctor wakes up and warns her not to read, but it was too late. After being captured by the Medjai, Sora berates the doctor for opening the chest by slapping him. On the way to Cairo, Sora suggests the Americans evacuate to Alexandria, and Chamberlain hopes the horrors will not happen. The night later, Chamberlain is stalked by Imhotep and is killed off camera.
