Dante is the main protagonist and player character of the Devil May Cry series. He is the son of Sparda, a renegade demon, and Eva, a human woman, as well as the twin brother of Vergil, and Dante hunts down demons for their part in destroying his family.
Personality[]
Dante is a charismatic, showboating, thrill-seeking demon hunter who isn't afraid to mouth off to formidable or otherwise intimidating opponents like the Phantom Spider. He is also an insanely handsome ladies' man, and in good relations with Ada Wong and Morrigan Aensland. Dante also values his friends and family greatly, to the point of wanting to save Vegil, if at all possible, and refuses to kill innocent bystanders or full blooded humans.

Trivia[]
- Despite their rivalry, at least in terms of being Morrigan's love interest, Dante and Bully Maguire are ironically both voiced by Toshiyuki Morikawa, who uses different voice tones and speech patterns for the scenes they are shown together in.
