Shattered Distortion is a Keyblade wielded by Nathaniel Koroshiya in Kingdom Hearts: Arcana. It is obtained after Nathaniel defeats the Aizen Sentiment, and is considered his strongest Keyblade.
Design[]
The Shattered Distortion has a rather basic design; the shaft and hilt are composed of a katana with green stitching. The guard is the guard of Kyōka Suigetsu, albeit enlargened and rotated so it lies inset with the hilt and shaft. The teeth are made up of the lower half of the glasses Aizen wore before his defection from Soul Society. The Keychain token is a miniature Hōgyoku. Its name is derived from two parts; "Shattered" refers to the release phrase for Kyōka Suigetsu, and "Distortion" refers to the Orb of Distortion, otherwise known as the Hōgyoku.
Ability[]
Shattered Distortion's exclusive ability, Complete Hypnosis (コンプリートヒプノーシス, Konpurīto Hipunōshisu), deals with the manipulation of enemies. A certain number of strikes with Shattered Distortion will instill Confusion on an enemy, causing them to fight other enemies, should there be any in the area. This ability is quite useful for crowd control. The name of the ability is based on Kyōka Suigetsu's Kanzen Saimin release.
