“Emergency Fusion! Victory Robo!” ~ Combination/fighter selection announcement

Victory Robo is the main giant robot of the GoGo Five. Three of its components also form a walking tank called Victory Walker.

Story[]

Having been fully rebuilt in 2001, between the events of Timeranger VS GoGo Five[1] and Gaoranger VS Super Sentai[2], the Rescue Machines had to be stored in a more local spot for response time reasons, while the still sunken Bay Area 55 and their other robos were also being rebuilt. Victory Robo was used again to help destroy the Iron Man Mk. 25[3], and in the Battle of Starktopia 01.[4]

Components[]

  • Red Ladder- Go Red's Rescue Machine, a ladder truck which forms Victory Robo's arms and body. Its ladder fists are used for performing ranged attacks.
  • Blue Thrower- Go Blue's Rescue Machine, a chemical fire truck which forms Victory Robo's hips and thighs and Victory Walker's body.
  • Green Hover- Go Green's Rescue Machine, a VTOL hovercraft which forms Victory Robo's head and back. It can also carry the other Rescue Machines on a platform all at once, whenever GoLiner is unable to deploy them as usual.
  • Yellow Armor- Go Yellow's Rescue Machine, an armored hazard truck which forms Victory Robo and Victory Walker's left leg.
  • Pink Aider- Go Pink's Rescue Machine, an ambulance which forms Victory Robo and Victory Walker's right leg.

Trivia[]

  • Victory Robo would be the oldest mecha suit utilized in the Battle of Starktopia 01, whereas the other preceding primary Sentai Robos would have new suits built of them, and all the others would be depicted either through stock footage, still images or CGI.
  • Some sources and translations address the Rescue Machines as 99Machines(owing to GoGo Five airing in 1999 and “kyu” meaning 9).
  1. https://powerrangers.fandom.com/wiki/Mirai_Sentai_Timeranger_vs._GoGoFive The GoGo V mecha took longer than usual to rebuild probably because they are man-made machines, which was part of why they had to be briefly brought back from the past.
  2. https://powerrangers.fandom.com/wiki/Hyakujuu_Sentai_Gaoranger_vs._Super_Sentai Only Red Ladder was physically present there, while Victory Robo(along with other previous robos) lent power to Gao King from afar or “in spirit”.
